FM radio coming to the iPhone and iPod Touch

By

Finally FM radio for iPhone and iPod Touch users, maybe.

Apple has just leaked a rumor that FM radio may be coming to it's iPhone and ipod touch users. The app nicknames radio.app is currently being developed by Apple and will only need to be downloaded to function. This is because models of the iPhone and ipod touch already have an FM transmitter built in. The newest versions of The iphone and ipod touch can already stream music to the radio using only an appThe transmitter has so far only been used in the Nike+ running application kit. It's said that the application will run in the background and be similar to the new nano's radio function.

Apple seems to be holding off the applications release in order to develop itunes integration to tag tracks on the radio you like for future purchase in the itunes store. Again Apple holding out on us just to make some more moolah. The nano already incorperates music on the radio tagging.

This isn't the first time Apple awoke sleeping hardware functionality from its mobile products. Apple did not enable bluetooth for the 2nd gen itouch until 9 months after released.Apple also is rumored to be unveiling wireless-N technology to it's devices in the near future. At least you don't have to buy a whole new adapter like xbox 360's adapter.

I'm guessing that Apple is looking over it's shoulder at Microsoft's ZuneHD and it's native FM radio; and yet still no itouch camera. Meanwhile rumors continue to circulate on Apple's Tablet
